Spring is a time of rebirth, renewal and well, weddings. Whether you are getting ready to dawn your gown or just in the pre-planning stages, the 2013 Bridal Week is a great way to celebrate these unions. And if you didn’t get a chance to catch the Spring 2013 Bridal Week, you are missing out. Let’s take a look back at what we saw this year and what we can look forward to in Spring 2014.

Brides will shine and glimmer in sync with glamorous and glitzy dresses showcased by designers like Carolina Herrera and Oscar de la Renta this coming year. These dresses, with beads and embellishments, definitely aren’t for the shy. But isn’t the perfect gown all about standing out?

Also in the line up is the Peplum top/dress. Yup, this trend isn’t over ladies. Designers like Angel Sanchez, Marchesa, and Carolina Herrera brought this elegant look back yet again this year in both long and short pieces. And to spice it up even more, one of Angel Sanchez’s Peplum dresses features a short-sleeved illusion top for a more stunning look.

If you can’t decide on what style of sleeves you’d like be it strapless, one-shoulder, or an illusion turtleneck, the 2014 bridal gowns have something for everyone. Especially if you are into the off the shoulder look or sleeves. These two styles are very popular this coming year.

And I’ll leave you with one little hint: look for gloves to make a comeback. Only two designers featured them at this year’s Bridal Week, but do you know who those two designers were? Vera Wang and Oscar de la Renta. So can you blame me for this prediction?
